How to play

Animal Lab is the classic parlour game of Exquisite Corpse (a.k.a. Picture Consequences): everyone draws one part of a creature without seeing the rest.

01

Round up your artists

Name a creature and pick 2–5 artists. Invite friends with a link or email — or post it as a public game anyone can join.

02

Draw your section blind

You only ever see a thin fold-line sliver of the section before yours. Connect your lines to it, colour it in, and extend your lines to the bottom edge.

03

Pass it down, in order

Head first, feet last — each finished section unlocks the next artist. No peeking at the rest while you wait!

04

The big reveal

When the last section lands, the whole creature is stitched together and joins the Menagerie, where anyone can rate it.

05

Make it real

Logged-in players can have AI re-imagine the creature as a photorealistic animal — then swipe between photo and drawing. One free go a month.

The two ways to play

🔗 Private — you pick the artists; every section gets a secret link to copy-paste (emails optional). No account needed.

🌍 Public — you draw the head, then it goes on the front-page board for any logged-in player to finish.

House rules

Connect to the fold sliver · lines to the bottom edge · no peeking · submitting is final · silly is encouraged.
